The Writer Wheel

This is just a brief post but I thought that any fellow Writers out there might appreciate.  As I sit here at my desk doing some research for my writing, I just came across this idea that I found on Pinterest:

writer-wheel

It is limited, but it does offer quick access to broader vocabulary and themes.  As an exercise, it might even be an idea to create a wheel of your own, which could be far broader, based upon your most used written words from your own projects.

Likewise, this type of tool could be helpful for children who are developing their written language skills.

It would even be possible to create a pictoral wheel to assist with creating scenes, settings and associated imagery.

In my work as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I often us the blank wheel as a ‘mind mapping’ tool.

If you try this, do leave a comment to let me know how helpful you found it.

Thanks for sharing this. I can see how it could be a really great tool both for writing and for therapy. Laura
